Our family history starts even before Westerly Nursing Home opened its doors in 1966. Dr. James F. Martin was a well-respected physician in town and his wife Bernadette was a registered nurse. The Martins had eight children which exemplified their belief in the strength of the family unit. This philosophy was passed down to their children, who today own and operate The Westerly Nursing Home.
